Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Queen City Quotes ("we," "us," "our") operates queencityquotes.com (the "Site"), a service that connects homeowners in the Charlotte, NC metro area ("Homeowners") with independent, third-party contractors ("Contractors" or "Buyers") for fencing, decks/patios, and flooring projects. By using the Site, submitting a project request, or creating a Contractor account, you agree to these Terms.

2. What we are — and what we are not

We are a referral and lead-matching service only. We do not review, vet, endorse, warrant, or make any representation concerning any Contractor or the work they perform. We are not a contractor, we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any construction, installation, or repair work, and we are not a party to any agreement between a Homeowner and a Contractor. Any contract for work — and any payment for that work — is solely between the Homeowner and the Contractor they choose to hire. We have no right to control or direct the services a Contractor provides.

We take a reasonable step to check that a Contractor's NC contractor license number appears on the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors public registry before leads are routed to them. This is a threshold check at a point in time, not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of a Contractor's quality, ongoing licensing status, insurance coverage, or workmanship. Homeowners should independently verify a Contractor's license, insurance, and references before hiring.

3. For Homeowners

When you submit a project request, we share your project details and contact information with one matched Contractor (not multiple competing contractors) who services your area and trade. By submitting the form, you agree to be contacted by that Contractor by phone, text message, and email about your project, including by automated means. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to be contacted is not a condition of any purchase. You may revoke this consent at any time by emailing support@queencityquotes.com with "Revoke Consent" in the subject line, or by contacting the Contractor directly.

Our service to Homeowners is free. We are compensated by Contractors, who pay us per lead they receive.

4. For Contractors / Buyers

To receive leads, you must create an account, provide accurate company and contact information, and (where applicable) a valid NC contractor license number. We manually verify license numbers before routing any leads to a new account; this typically takes up to one business day. We may suspend or terminate an account at any time, including for inaccurate licensing information, repeated valid disputes, non-payment, or abuse of Homeowner contact information.

Leads are sold exclusively — a given project request is routed to one Contractor, not shared or auctioned among competitors. Pricing per lead varies by trade and budget band and is shown in your account dashboard before you set your filters. Your first two leads are provided free as an introductory offer. We do not guarantee any particular number, frequency, or quality of leads.

If you receive a lead you believe is invalid (e.g., unreachable contact information, outside your configured service area or budget floor, or a duplicate), you may dispute it from your dashboard. We review disputes and, where warranted, issue a credit to your account balance. Disputes must be submitted within a reasonable time of receiving the lead.

Payment is processed by Stripe. By adding a payment method, you authorize us to charge it for leads routed to your account per your active filters, until you remove the payment method or close your account.

5. Prohibited conduct

You may not: submit false or fraudulent project requests or account information; use the Site to harvest contact information for purposes other than the project it was submitted for; attempt to bypass our lead-routing or duplicate-detection systems; or use automated means to submit requests (bots).

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Site and any leads or matches provided through it are offered "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee any particular number, quality, or outcome of leads or matches. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the Site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, or (b) $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, and we are not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, licensing status, or insurance coverage of any Contractor.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Queen City Quotes harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: your violation of these Terms; inaccurate information you submit; or, for Contractors, your performance of (or failure to perform) any work for a Homeowner you were matched with.

8. Arbitration and class action waiver

This section limits how you can bring a dispute against us — read it carefully. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at support@queencityquotes.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 60 days. If that doesn't resolve it, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and Queen City Quotes each waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@queencityquotes.com within 30 days of first using the Site, with "Arbitration Opt-Out" in the subject line.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, given the Site's service area and operations.
